Cathedral, Seville, Spain
This is a painting of the Seville Cathedral. Constructed in the 16th century, this monstrously large building is the focal point of Seville, and sits adjacent to the older Alcázar, which I also painted recently.
We visited the Cathedral in 2017, toured the vast interior, contemplated the tomb of Christopher Columbus, and climbed the Giralda bell tower (shown on the right in this painting) which was adapted from the minaret of a mosque built hundreds of years before the Cathedral on the same location.
