Low Tide, Inveraray, Scotland
This is a painting of the shoreline at low tide in the town of Inveraray, Scotland. We visited this quiet little town on the banks of Loch Fyne during a day trip from Edinburgh in June, 2018.
Iveraray was the first planned Georgian town in Scotland, with the main streets and buildings laid out in the mid-1700's by the Duke of Argyll. Today the town has a population of about 600 people. We enjoyed a nice pub lunch at the George Hotel, housed in a building constructed in 1776.
