This is a painting of a fishing boat tied up in the old port of Pera Gialos on the Greek island of Astypalea. We visited here in late May and early June of 2023. The weather was warming and the skies were blue.

It was later in the morning, and this fishing boat had recently returned from an expedition. Couriers on motorscooters and a bedraggled gang of cats waited for their share of cargo to be unloaded onto the pier next to the piles of bright yellow nets.
