This is a painting of an old building at 6 Episkópou Nikifórou, on a back street not far from the Old Venetian Port in the city of Chania, Crete.

This building, highlighted in the stark January sunshine, caught my eye due to its many textures, crags, colours and details. Since I photographed it in 2020, it seems the building has been cleaned up and is now an attractive Kafenio. One day, maybe, we'll make a return visit for a coffee.
